The Learner Profile
The learner profile is a set to 10 characteristics or attributes that are essential to a successful life as a world citizen. Helen Keller Elementary is committed to helping the entire school community learn, understand, and practice these attributes daily.
|
The staff of Helen Keller Elementary have developed a Scope and Sequence of the Learner Profile attributes explaining appropriate expectations of each attribute at each grade level. View this document at the link to the right.
|
Each month, one Learner Profile attribute is highlighted for extra attention. Follow our Classroom Blog on Seesaw to see what we are doing and how you can help your child practice each Learner Profile attribute outside of school.

essential agreements
The entire Keller School Community strives to "live" three essential behaviors throughout each and every day:
When students are "caught" practicing these behaviors, especially in challenging situations, they may earn a Husky High Five ticket. One copy of the ticket is sent home to share with parents and the other is collected and put in a class box for the weekly prize drawing. Prize winners are announced on Keller's daily broadcast, (usually on Fridays).
- being Respectful
- being Responsible Learners
- being Safe and In Control
